ROQ Audio M10C XLR, condenser microphone with selectable characteristics. Owning a multi-purpose condenser microphone is wonderful when, with a simple switch, you can change the polar pattern from unidirectional (cardioid), bidirectional (where you capture from the front and back of the microphone) to omnidirectional, allowing you to capture recordings from all directions. This makes it ideal for almost any recording application, from live performances, stage, orchestral recordings, or home/studio recordings.
M10C also features a high SPL input level, a low-pass filter, and a signal attenuation switch to make this microphone incredibly versatile.
An excellent low-budget microphone! It surpasses the AT 2020 or RODE NT 1. Very good signal-to-noise ratio and also very "quiet" at only -13 dB. Frequencies are very clearly defined. It's not as sibilant as the two mentioned microphones. A surprise for me! Works very well for acoustic guitar too. One observation: it is not multipattern. It is only cardioid.
