I bought it specifically for karaoke nights. It's an excellent microphone for this price. I also own a 565 SD which is definitely superior, but let's get back to the SV200. The low end is quite stable, unfortunately, this microphone has limits on the high end, but it can be easily corrected from the mixer. I consider it a best buy for karaoke. If someone really wants something serious, I warmly recommend adding a bit more money for the 565SD, Beta 58, or why not even the KSM 8.
