I'm not experienced in the field, but I can say that the microphone performs admirably. I've used others - good in their own right, but this one is cardioid, which is exactly what I needed. I'm using it for an online radio station.

I bought it specifically for karaoke nights. It's an excellent microphone for this price. I also own a 565 SD which is definitely superior, but let's get back to the SV200. The low end is quite stable, unfortunately, this microphone has limitations on the high end, but it can be easily corrected from the mixer. I consider it a best buy for karaoke. For those who really want something serious, I warmly recommend adding a bit more money for the 565SD, Beta 58, or why not even the KSM 8.
Excellent quality/price ratio! I use it on a PMP500 mixer and it sounds incredibly good across the entire vocal frequency range! I recommend it for both baritone and alto voices...
I bought a Shure microphone, my first ever, for karaoke with the family during the holidays. I wasn't very knowledgeable and initially thought I could connect it to the amplifier. Later, I discovered that I need a mixer to use the microphone :)
