Cort KX300 OPCB - KX300 takes the KX series to a new level of boutique-quality and features a Spalted maple top on a mahogany body, double EMG® RetroActive Super77 humbuckers with a classic zebra open-coil look, and two cool open-pore sunburst finishes.
Mahogany Body
KX300 has a mahogany body and a Bolt-On construction for a thick yet powerful tone that matches its intense design and style. Although it is shaped after a modern double-cut body, it stands out in its class for improved playability as well as its unique visual style.
Maple Top
The striking Spalted maple top not only looks amazing but complements the mahogany body to produce a very balanced tone - warm, rich, and full, yet cutting, defined, and powerful.
EMG® RetroActive Super 77 Set
Designed with today's metal sounds in mind, the EMG RetroActive Super77 pickups offer a very clear output, with superb articulation and focus on the low strings and high-quality playing.
Hardtail Bridge with String-thru Body
The hardtail bridge with strings through the body enhances sustain as well as resonance through the mahogany body.
1 Volume and 1 Tone Knob, 3-way Selector
The simple controls with 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 3-way switch offer a variety of great sounds and allow you to focus on playing.
Raindrop Shaped Jatoba Fingerboard Inlays
Jatoba is a very dense and rigid wood, making it ideal for fingerboard use. Jatoba produces strong fundamentals and volume projection, with an emphasis on high mids. The new “Raindrop” inlay designed specifically for this model offers a distinctive look.
