Additional bends can be created with the help of special valves. The American pro player PT Gazell is the master of this playing style, which allows him to play fully chromatica!

Without overblows, but only by draw and blow bends, it is possible to play in a fully chromatic manner over three octaves. Melodies can be played with a greater dynamic range, and phrasing is much easier to intonate, compared to playing with overblows.
