Presonus Eris Sub8 BT - Ideal for complementing compact media and studio reference monitors without overshadowing them, the Eris® Sub 8BT offers smooth low-frequency transients, robust adjustment controls, and the convenience of Bluetooth® wireless connectivity to make it the perfect partner for your compact monitoring system.

The active Eris® Sub 8BT features an 8-inch glass composite woofer with front-firing; power 100W; built-in adjustment controls to complement your full-range monitors; wireless Bluetooth® input and ¼ inch TRS and RCA stereo inputs/outputs. A variable low-pass filter allows for seamless crossover transitions, while a switchable high-pass filter at 80 Hz is provided to optimise performance with satellite speakers.

Very good

I got it after purchasing the Eris 5BT monitors. Although they have good bass, I needed more.

Initially, some calibration will be necessary. It depends a lot on the size of the room and the position it is in. I used the REW software + Equalizer APO, along with a calibration microphone, and I achieved a punchy and balanced sound. Crossover at 80hz, HPF on, and the polarity depends on the room; the bass needs to be in sync with the monitors.

It arrived very well packaged. The materials are of high quality. Very satisfied.

Exceeds Expectations

Eris Sub8 is excellent for small/medium spaces, a round and pleasant sound, it might even be too much for an apartment with sensitive neighbors, but it has volume and frequency filters, even at minimum it sounds nice. I use it with two Yamaha HS8, they rock together! I also got the Eris 5 speakers, during a short test they sounded good with Sub8, but I didn't insist too much, maybe in the future…
I love the Bluetooth connection on Sub8, it connects easily, you can use it as a wireless source with L/R output. It also has classic input/output, of course. Very good! Top delivery (ordered on December 22, delivered on December 24, incredible!, congratulations!).

Eris Sub8BT - very satisfied

I can say that this subwoofer is the best purchase I've made so far for my little studio. I use it together with the Eris E3.5 speakers and the result is beyond expectations. After no more than 10 minutes of adjusting to balance the frequencies, I achieved a round and balanced sound by boosting the low frequencies that were missing when using just the speakers. I highly recommend it.

Exceptional

I use it in a perhaps less common system, namely on PC, through the Aiyima A07 Pro amp, together with Kanto YUP 6 passive speakers. This subwoofer, which we can say is small in size, really delivers power, clarity, and volume. It's a bit too powerful for the monitors I have, so it's almost at minimum to have a balanced sound. The specifications are real, it has exactly the watts it says, 50 watts RMS, which is rare these days when most people lie about watts. So don't shy away from it, it thumps enough, for a 2.1 desktop set it's perfect, it's exactly what you need. Smart, quality, beautiful, and performant. I've never seen such a small subwoofer sound so good. The bass goes down as specified, down to 30 hertz. And it works perfectly on Bluetooth, stereo, no interference, no buzzing; it sends perfect stereo signal to the satellites. I paired it with 2 iK Multimedia Iloud Micro speakers and they fit perfectly. Together they have a linear sound across the entire frequency range. It probably pairs very well with a set of Presonus Eris 3.5 or Eris 4.5 speakers, which are cheap and make a perfect set with this subwoofer. Together you get one of the cheapest good quality 2.1 systems on the market. It's not worth buying the Bluetooth satellites, as the subwoofer has it and it's much simpler this way, without too many wires. The performance is beyond expectations, very deep bass, as if it were a subwoofer with a 25 cm driver. It doesn't distort at maximum, it doesn't drop the acoustic pressure towards maximum, as happens with many speakers, it doesn't go into limiting. It works better, more qualitatively, than its older bigger brother PreSonus Temblor T10, which isn't bad either, but it distorts towards maximum and doesn't have such precise, correct sound, even though it's much bigger. Buy with confidence as it's better than many other similar subwoofers that are even more expensive, probably the best subwoofer at this price on the market. I recommend, 5 stars!
