The KH 310 was designed as a 3-way near-field monitor and is tri-amplified. I had some hesitation in purchasing this product and ordered it with the idea of returning it if I couldn't get used to it. That was not the case; on the contrary, the monitor is uniformly directive and can be used in various acoustic conditions, with any source equipment, and can be placed in a wide variety of locations. It reproduces bass starting from 34Hz. The monitor benefits from mathematically modeled dispersion to ensure the most accurate sound reproduction, reduces reflections, minimizes non-linear distortions, meaning intermodulations, as well as harmonic reduction. It is not an aggressive response monitor. Exactly what I was looking for. The monitor contains a magnetic shield and does not resonate; I noticed a noticeable reduction in intermodulated distortions in the midrange area, plus it allows control in different acoustic environments through the 4 position settings for bass, lower mids, Bass: 0..-7.5 dB, Midrange: 0..-4.5 dB, Treble: 1..-2 dB adjustable in 4 steps.
