The Meinl Artisan Edition cajons are handcrafted in Spain under the supervision of master instrument maker Jose Hernandez Diaz. The craftsmanship results in a percussion instrument that offers the player more than what they put into it; its sound and refined feel speak for themselves!
Meticulous and detailed care has been taken to select the best wood combinations, sculpt the playing surface and body, and manually wrap the internal metal strings to create a sensitive and unmatched snare effect. Every little detail of these instruments has been designed and crafted to achieve a sound quality and playing feel unmatched by any other cajon.
