Triton Audio FetHead Germanium is a preamplifier for dynamic and ribbon microphones. The FetHead Germanium has very low noise, connects directly to the microphone, and includes a Germanium transistor that provides a vintage sound. Small, compact, yet powerful, the FetHead uses FET technology to deliver up to 29 dB of clean boost.
The FetHead connects directly to any microphone equipped with an XLR connector or anywhere in the signal path between the microphone and preamplifier/mixer. The electronic components are integrated into a robust metal housing, with a balanced XLR female input and a balanced XLR male output. Its sturdy construction makes the FetHead suitable for home use, in the studio, or on tour.
