Audiolab 6000CDT is a dedicated CD transport player that incorporates the same slot-loading mechanism as Audiolab's iconic 8300CD player. Extremely robust and reliable, it uses a digital read-ahead buffer to reduce disc reading errors, capable of playing scratched and damaged CDs that cannot be read by conventional mechanisms.

The master clock is controlled by a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator, allowing digital outputs (coaxial and optical) to achieve low jitter (digital distortion) levels.

Additionally, the coaxial output is powered by a differential line driver to ensure a flawless digital signal to the accompanying DAC - naturally, the 32-bit DAC section of the integrated 6000A amplifier is a superb sonic match.

Audiolab 6000CDT

The new and first dedicated CD Transport from Audiolab, purchased after reading the few reviews and descriptions found online, did not disappoint. Very easy to install and use, I connected it via coaxial cable to an Audiolab 8200DQ. Previously, I used a classic CD player as a transport, via optical, and honestly, I didn't expect big differences. However, I was completely surprised by the result: everything became much clearer and more detailed, as if more information was being extracted from the CDs. The highs and lows are very well defined, and overall, listening to CDs has become a pleasure again. Unbeatable quality/price ratio, I haven't found any other transport even remotely comparable to this one. Soundcreation was extremely kind and brought the product on request, as they didn't have it in stock at that time.
