It all started in London in the 60s when Cliff Cooper opened, in 1968, the Orange musical instrument shop and recording studio. Legend has it that in the early days Cliff, who worked day and night to turn his business into a success, would sleep in the shop using a Vox speaker cover as a sleeping bag whenever he had time to rest. This was so that in 2006 Cliff, now C.E.O. of Orange Music Electronic Company, would be invited to Buckingham Palace to be awarded by the Queen for his contribution to international trade.
