Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 USB - Compact digital mixer with 16 channels for live or studio applications with high processing capability, integrated USB 18 x 16 interface, effects/dynamics processing via Fat Channel.
The ease of analogue meets the power of digital:
StudioLive 16.0.2 USB features an intuitive interface, similar to analogue mixers, where all important controls are visible and directly accessible, without menus and layers. There is a fader for each mono/stereo channel and output for each bus. Function buttons are easily accessible, colour-coded, and dedicated knobs are provided for EQ and dynamic adjustments. The auxiliary sends have dedicated physical controls. Yet, behind the familiar analogue interface lies a powerful digital engine that allows multi-track recording, wireless control, and many other features.
The StudioLive 16.0.2 USB mixer has 16 channels, 8 mono channels, 4 dual stereo channels, and 4 auxiliary buses, each with 60 mm faders. It is equipped with 12 Class A solid-state XMAX preamps, a Talkback microphone input, extensive processing capabilities, MIDI control, and an audio interface for recording. The 16.0.2 USB comes bundled with a collection of control, recording, and audio analysis software.
Signal processing:
The StudioLive 16.0.2 USB mixer offers plenty of DSP power without restrictions; all processing capacity is available at all times. The Fat Channel system provides a compressor, limiter, expander, semi-parametric 3-band EQ for each channel and bus, high-pass filter for each channel, phase inversion on the microphone preamps, a library of presets, and allows selective saving and re-accessing of processor settings. On the main output is a 31-band graphic EQ and 2 reverb/delay processors at 32 bits, each with a dedicated mix bus and preset library.
Superior sound:
StudioLive mixers operate at sampling rates of up to 48 kHz. They use high-quality Burr-Brown converters on each input/output, providing a dynamic range of 118 dB, and the XMAX microphone preamps deliver high headroom, with deep low frequencies and smooth high frequencies, resulting in a rich, defined sound.
Multi-track recordings:
The 18x16 USB audio interface is tightly integrated with the mixer components; it is not an afterthought. All 16 channels and the main mix are constantly streamed via USB to a PC or Mac. Each channel can independently access the analogue input or the dedicated digital return from the computer. Recordings are facilitated by the included Capture software or Studio One DAW or any other DAW that supports ASIO or Core Audio.
