Audio-Technica AT897 is a shotgun microphone designed for capturing sound in film/TV/video production, professional recordings, environmental recording, and broadcast applications. It can be easily mounted on a video camera, providing excellent response even at very long distances due to its "line + gradient" polar pattern design and remarkable rejection of sounds from the sides and rear of the microphone.
