Akai LPD8 is a USB MIDI controller with pads, designed for musicians, producers, DJs, etc. The Akai LPD 8 is less than 33 centimetres long and weighs under 500 grams, ensuring maximum portability and easy fitting into a laptop bag.
The LPD8 features 8 backlit blue pads that are touch-sensitive for programming rhythmic or melodic parts. Additionally, the pads can send program change information to the software being used. The LPD-8 also includes 8 Q-Link rotary knobs, which can be assigned to nearly any parameters in the software used.
The Akai LPD 8 connects in a plug-and-play manner to both Mac and PC and is powered via USB. No drivers or external power supply are required. The Akai LPD8 has 4 memory banks for programming and reloading settings suitable for various software applications.
