Good, but not for vocals

Yes, I know, the SM57 is not recommended for vocals, although some adapt it for that too. I got it because I thought I could use it for both instruments and vocals, but it's not great for vocals, it's inferior to a Sennheiser e835, which covers the high frequencies better and has more clarity and brightness in the highs (at the same price).

You can adapt it with some EQ to boost the highs and add some low frequencies, plus a pop filter, and it can be used for vocals, but other microphones can do that without EQ.

So just get it for instruments. It's very durable.
