Neumann TLM 170 R - is the first large diaphragm condenser microphone from Neumann, featuring 100 FET technology, transformerless design, with 5 selectable directional characteristics (Omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, figure-8) accessible from the microphone or via the N248 power supply. It includes a 10 dB pad and an integrated low-pass filter, low noise, and an impressive dynamic range. Its resistance to high sound pressure levels makes this microphone ideal for recordings where volume is high. Perfect for recording brass instruments, string instruments, piano, bass drum, and guitar amplifiers. The N248 power supply controls the directional characteristics by varying the Phantom power voltage.
