The keys are made from the same aluminium alloy used in the Yamaha celesta. The keys produce a soft, warm tone that blends beautifully with other instruments in the orchestra.
The height adjustment system previously used only in high-quality percussion instruments is now available in educational and semi-concert models, allowing students, regardless of their physique, to perform in an ideal position, being easy to handle.
These components facilitate height adjustment by eliminating the need to maintain the instrument's level while adjusting the height (previous models required careful attention to maintain the instrument's level while adjusting the height). The rubber pad that dampens vibrations also reduces floor noise that may occur when playing the instrument.
In previous models, the damper and damper pedal were connected by a metal rod that could bend accidentally if a user tried to adjust the instrument's height without first loosening the rod's screws. In the new models, the metal rod has been replaced with a strap that eliminates this problem. And considering that the wing screws are replaced with a buckle, there is no chance of them being displaced or lost. Using a strap also means that slipping is not possible when pressing the damper pedal.
Compared to conventional damping mechanisms that use a pivoted damper arm, the damper mechanism of the new models moves perpendicularly, naturally and accidentally on the keys and makes contact with them evenly for improved damping. The new mechanism is also safer, as parts where fingers could have been caught have been eliminated.
It is delivered with a lightweight, easy-to-use bag that protects the instrument from dust while it is not in use.
