Nothing looks and sounds quite like the Alpha model. A true revolution at the time of its launch and, to this day, an iconic reference. In collaboration with KesselsGranger DesignWorks, an instrument has been developed that impresses on any stage. The wide and elegant arc of the resonators, the rich finish of the wood, and the plate with the name made from polished aluminium harmoniously combine, creating a visual and sonic statement of contemporary design.

Design of the resonators: The aluminium resonators, precisely designed and manufactured in-house by Adams, are lightweight and crafted with attention to detail. The combination of round and square tubes used in the mid and high registers offers superior acoustic performance while maintaining a foldable construction that is easy to transport.
The resonators for the bass register are handcrafted from aluminium sheet and welded precisely using an advanced robotic system. This technology ensures excellent structural strength and eliminates potential weak points in the construction. Each resonator benefits from a powder coat finish for durability, reliability, and consistent performance over time.
Design philosophy: Based on the principles of the Helmholtz resonator, the Adams Alpha resonators for low frequencies represent a modern and optimized interpretation, specially designed for marimba performance. Adapting the Helmholtz concept to the requirements of contemporary instruments, the design maximizes resonance and projection of the sound generated by the vibration of the bars.
