This version of the 4061 uses DPA's CORE technology to provide a 4 dB increase in dynamic range and a 14 dB reduction in noise compared to the 4061 Legacy model. The microphone includes two interchangeable protection grids for the capsule that modify the microphone's tonal character. The High-Boost grid creates a peak at 12 kHz, useful for chest placement, while the Soft-Boost grid offers a subtle increase between 8 and 20 kHz, slightly enhancing signal presence to ensure clarity.
With an SPL rating of 144 dB, the microphone is more than capable of handling vocalists and presenters. The microphone can also be very effectively used to capture instruments, making it a versatile tool for houses of worship and live event productions. The 4061 CORE is powered from 5 to 10 V from a wireless transmitter and features a modular design using a Microdot output connector. This version includes a 3-pin LEMO adapter compatible with Lectrosonics SSM, Sennheiser SK, and Wisycom MTP transmitters.
