Yamaha GL1 Guitalele BL - a guitar the size of a baritone ukulele, allowing for playing in chords just like a guitar but with the sound of a ukulele. It features a top made of Spruce, sides and back made of Meranti, a neck made of Nato, and a bridge and fingerboard made of Sonokeling wood. Scale length is 433 mm, nut width is 48 mm, and body depth is 70 mm. Matte black finish.
I think it's the best guitar (or guilele because only Yamaha can use the name guitar). It's excellently built with a good sound and a bit more sustain. I also have a Valencia guilele which has less sustain and a wider neck (Valencia 52 Yamaha 48). I changed the saddle which I carved for a 50 mm neck width, it can be done. It felt too narrow to me, and I lowered the saddle by 1.5 mm and now it's really easier to play. The frets on mine are well finished on the edges. On the Valencia, I had to file them down because they were literally cutting me, I used a diamond file. It's excellent for traveling, small and nice to play.
The quality/price ratio clearly favors the price. You don't buy this product with high expectations regarding build quality. It falls into the classic: you get what you pay for :). I knew this from the very beginning. The only downside, however, with this guitar is that the metal frets are cut roughly, you can even scratch yourself on them.
