The sound of Polyphia is characterised by elegant, upbeat melodies and captivating hooks that have been described variously as progressive, djent, funky, melodic, EDM, and trap. It doesn't quite fit into any existing category. For the most part, they have fun creating unique music inspired by the things they love.
Scott LePage wanted a bridge pickup that would have the power to cut through when needed. Alnico 8 was used to increase the output. IGNO™ features DiMarzio's double resonance design, with both coils wired to produce a warm response, but not overly high in the mids. This maintains clarity and separation between highs and bass.
