MEINL wind gongs are traditionally handcrafted in China, using a special bronze alloy. These gongs are also known as Feng or Sun Gongs. The shape is nearly flat, and because of this, the gong's vibration extends extremely wide with a long sustain. The sound characteristic is mainly low tones, and when played more forcefully, it beautifully opens up with sizzling tones. Available sizes start from 12"/30 cm and increase to 48"/120 cm in diameter. This gong is supplied with a beater designed to match the size of the gong and a cover.
