MEINL wind gongs are traditionally handcrafted in China using a special bronze alloy. These gongs are also known as Feng or Sun Gongs. The shape is nearly flat, which allows the gong's vibration to extend extremely wide with a long sustain. The sound characteristic is primarily low tones, and when played more forcefully, it beautifully opens up with sizzling overtones. Available sizes start from 12"/30 cm and increase to 48"/120 cm in diameter. This gong is supplied with a beater designed to match the size of the gong and a cover.
