Tech 21 SansAmp Para Driver DI v2 - This compact version of the rackmount model Tech 21 RPM offers detailed tone shaping possibilities for any signal source. The preamplifier is suitable for electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and double bass, and can be connected directly to a mixer or an instrument amplifier. The Para Driver DI provides sound characteristics similar to those found in tube amplifiers while the integrated SansAmp circuit eliminates harsh and unnatural harmonics of piezo-type pickups.
Version 2 features the same tone and functionality, with the addition of two new features: Rumble Filter and Air. The Rumble Filter removes sub-sonic frequencies that can cause unwanted sounds and audible handling noise found in acoustic guitars, while the Air button adds clarity in the high-frequency spectrum.
