DM5.0S is a dynamic unidirectional microphone with a super-cardioid pattern and excellent frequency response, designed to produce clear and articulate sound. Since I have a comparison grade having about 20 Shure and Sennheiser microphones, after testing this one I was really surprised that it sounds good... good, real, warm frequencies and impressive clarity. The construction materials are a bit weaker... but it's okay and normal for a relatively low price. I see one problem with the on/off button, it seems quite weak... I'm curious how long it will last. I bought them for the kids to have in camps and activities so if they drop them, they won't cry so much :))). But overall, I'm very satisfied.
