Daddario

The first creators of strings with the name D'Addario were mentioned in official documents as early as 1680, in a small town in Italy. Their descendants settled in Astoria (Queens, NY) and founded the company of the same name in 1918, as a family business. From the first animal wool strings, to nylon monofilament strings, steel, and later electric strings, the D'Addario craftsmen became known worldwide as innovators in the field of musical instrument strings. The tradition and quality of D'Addario strings are appreciated by artists such as: Al DiMeola, Beck, Billy Martin, Keith Urban, Eskimo Joe, Grace Potter, etc.
