Whether you are a DJ, a live band, a solo entertainer, or at the next party, you need a complete PA that delivers professional sound for a variety of applications. Also on your essentials list: a wide range of connections and accessory options for quick and flexible on-site setup and maximum reliability. In short, your PA needs to perform at its best at all times.
With the DAVE 18 G4X, your search is over. This powered compact PA - consisting of an 18" subwoofer and two 8" satellites (total power: 4000 W peak) - not only features a new, modern design with numerous handling optimisations. It also offers an integrated 6-channel mixer with all the important input options you might ever need. This allows you to create a wide variety of configurations and combinations of instruments, vocals, and audio sources - both wired and wireless - thanks to the built-in Bluetooth for easy streaming via a smartphone or tablet.
The first two channels of the mixer are designed as channel strips. Here, you can connect either a microphone, a high-impedance instrument - such as a guitar and/or bass - or line-level sources. A 2-band EQ for bass and treble, as well as an adjustable reverb with three presets (small, large, plate), are available to further shape the sound. Channels 3 and 4 are designed as stereo line inputs and are suitable for keyboards, synthesizers, drum machines, or small electronic drum kits.
The DAVE 18 G4X becomes even more versatile when using the digital stereo input SPDIF or the Bluetooth connection to expand your performance setup with a media player, computer, or smartphone, which you can use to play and control backing tracks, sound effects, or music during your breaks. The inputs (channels 5 and 6) can also be used for a karaoke system, or simply to connect a TV device in the sports bar for an impressive audio experience.
Speaking of impressive sound, the DAVE 18 G4X has been completely redesigned and developed from the ground up. This benefits not only instruments and music but also speech intelligibility when the PA is used for speech reinforcement. The acoustic concepts include new compression drivers and waveguides for homogeneous and directional dispersion, as well as state-of-the-art FIR filters and DSP technology for a transparent, colourless sound that brings the DAVE series to a whole new level. The subwoofer, for example, is equipped with a larger voice coil and an optimised bass reflex system to minimise airflow noise.
The DAVE 18 G4X is destined for flexible use. Selectable mode presets (for classic stereo use or configured with two satellites placed closely on a T-stand above the subwoofer) contribute to this - the DAVE G4X is convincing in terms of sound in all configurations. For example, the Cluster Mode preset allows for interference-free coupling of two satellites via a special M/S division and reproducing the stereo signal for more space and directivity.
LD Systems has also considered all common applications when it comes to accessories. These range from custom bags and a wheeled plate to the aforementioned T-stand.
