The MEINL Backbeat Pro tambourines feature a blackened brass ring, made from the same alloy used in MEINL cymbals. They are equipped with eight pairs of standard brass jingles, allowing any drummer to easily add the tambourine effect to the snare drum.

The shape of the ring is designed to make contact around the entire circumference of the drum (360°), providing excellent dynamic control of the sound. At the same time, its raised edge contributes to a more pronounced attack and an accentuated effect during rimshot hits.
