Korg PA700 - the latest high-performance arranger from the famous Pa series. It comes equipped with a wealth of exceptional new sounds (including Defined Nuance Control sounds for even more realism) to provide you with more options in performance, as well as a multitude of new styles covering musical genres from around the world. Combine these elements such as enhanced functionality, an intuitive user interface, rich, clear, finely sculpted sound, and you will have an arranger specially designed to provide everything that both a beginner and the most demanding professional might need.
A completely new feature is KAOSS FX, which offers you dynamic and creative control during performance. From subtle transitions between Variations and different Drum Kits, from fine mixing of accompaniment sounds, real-time live modification of rhythm parameters, to the most radical effects used by countless DJs, such as tape delay and arpeggiation, you can use this style of “liquid mixing” with any Style or MIDI song using very easy-to-use computer-assisted composition tools.
Compared to the famous Pa600, Korg Pa700 gives a new meaning to excellence through new sounds that are much closer to real instruments, and new powerful features that give you even more control over sound, all at an affordable price.
It features a built-in amplification system, consisting of two 25W amplifiers that bring to life the two speakers with a “bass-reflex” system that generates a powerful and rich sound, providing a realistic experience. The large, bright screen with TouchView technology presents a graphical interface that allows easy reading even in the most unfavourable lighting conditions. Searching for songs, styles, or rhythms has never been easier. The “Multi-search” function allows for quick finding of desired content. The SongBook function can read and play directly from a USB stick, without the need to copy the file to internal memory.
Pa700 is based on the KORG EDS-X (Enhanced Definition Synthesis eXpanded) system, which offers over 1700 sounds that can be easily played. The realistic collection provides a vast range of classic and contemporary keyboards, orchestral instruments, and acoustic instruments capable of covering any style from techno to folk. It includes two new acoustic pianos with multi-layered stereo sounds as well as electric pianos from the renowned KORG SV-1.
The tube organ emulator includes sounds of key pressing/releasing, leakage, and rotary speaker simulation. Additionally, Pa700 has been equipped with new wind instruments, string arrangements, and basses, as well as acoustic and electric guitars. The sounds have been recorded using cutting-edge technologies that allow for the reproduction of the smallest details.
106 authentic drum kits, including Ambient Drums, enliven rhythmic passages. The easy editing mode allows for quick changes to certain parameters such as volume, pitch, and equalizer. Up to 256 MB (compressed PCU memory) available for adding customized sounds. The banks for allocating sounds from General MIDI (GM) have been improved for better compatibility with GM files. Pa700 can import files in KORG, WAV, AIFF, SoundFont formats. Additionally, the synthesizer can export songs in WAV and AIFF formats. The sounds can be fully edited with the possibility of adding up to 24 oscillations per notes.
Pa700 offers 370 factory pre-installed styles. Each represents a musical environment entirely dedicated to a specific musical genre. Each style contains 4 types of drum fills and the Break structure, each of the 4 variations.
Using the new “Auto Fill” function, these can be called automatically. Pa700 has 1152 locations where you can save new styles and settings. A multitude of sophisticated parameters have been added to ensure a professional guitar sound in “Guitar Mode 2”, adding authenticity to guitar styles.
This mode can also be used with the 4 pads. Each pad can be assigned a riff, with the possibility of repetition, percussion part, an accent sound, or even an effect. The chord sequencer works like a looper that arpeggiates the progressions you play. This function is ideal for both practice and freeing the left hand during playing. These arpeggios can now be saved as styles or within the SongBook for easy recall.
The latest Styles, now!
Thanks to the new built-in Converter that transposes MIDI files into styles, you can easily play along with the latest songs. Just download a Standard MIDI file, upload it into Pa700, and the built-in converter will transform it into a Korg style, simultaneously creating a chord sequence based on the song's chords.
Pa700 contains the best effects from the KORG library. 2 Insert types, 2 Master types that can be used with the accompaniment tracks, while 1 Insert effect and 2 Master types can be used during real-time use of the new Pa700. 148 types of effects are available, including reverb, delay, vintage effect pedal simulations, cabinets, and more.
Connect a dynamic microphone and adjust the parameters of the Equalizer, Compressor, Noise Reduction, Reverb, and Delay to make your voice sound its best. The “Vocal Removal” function will allow you to remove the vocal part of your MP3s, so you can sing along with them.
The Guitar FX function allows you to add pedals and studio effects to your sound using the dedicated guitar input. KORG has selected the best guitar effects to simulate the sound of a tube amplifier with realistic distortion, chorus or delay pedals, and the best reverb effects.
The playback function supports the MP3+G format (also known as MP3 + Graphics) consisting of MP3 files and lyrics. The new function allows playback of background sequences alongside the lyrics and visual effects that appear on the touchscreen or an external monitor.
Since Pa700 is a very high-performance synthesizer, it can record an entire concert. You can play a song, play the piano, sing along with a backing track, recording all these things in MP3 format on a USB stick or in internal memory.
Very useful in live performances, the Song Book is fully programmable and allows for quick searching in the synthesizer's database. Each entry contains all the settings necessary for a particular song. SongBook can use styles, MIDI files, MP3s.
When reading the file, the synthesizer will automatically load settings such as: title, artist, tempo, effects, volumes, closed bands, and more. With the help of the SongBook Editor, you can create and edit entries and set lists using a Windows computer or an Android or iOS device.
You can easily store in the SongBook library all the sounds you need to use the Pa700 arranger to its maximum potential.
MIDI connection can now also be made through the USB HOST ports (which are different from the USB DEVICE and MIDI). This allows for the connection of controllers (such as digital pianos) without the need for adapters.
