Carbon is a high-performance cable with low distortion, utilising superior design and materials, and can be terminated on-site. Carbon features solid conductors with 5% silver and a 100% shield using a 4-layer shield.
Solid conductors eliminate the distortion of wire interaction and reduce fluctuation. The solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, such as HDMI audio. These signals, being at such a high frequency, travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. Since the surface is made from high-purity silver, the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but at a price much closer to that of solid copper cable.
