Boss Acoustic Singer Live - combo for acoustic guitar and vocals, with a power of 60 W and a bi-amplified design. It offers two independent channels with an analog input circuit and 3-band EQ. It is equipped with a 6.5" speaker and tweeter. The guitar channel features the "Acoustic Resonance" function to make the sound of a piezo pickup sound natural. The microphone channel benefits from phantom power and is equipped with a combo XLR/Jack TRS input connector. The guitar channel includes a chorus effect, while the microphone channel has delay/echo effects. Additional delay/echo effects can be controlled independently for both channels. The "Harmony" function automatically generates vocal harmony in real-time, based on the chords played on the guitar. It also features a built-in looper, independent anti-feedback control for each channel. It offers two DI outputs with XLR connectors for both channels individually or simultaneously, or a USB port for direct recording to a computer. Dimensions (L x W x H) 367 x 274 x 314 mm, weight 10.5 kg.
I use the small combo for small gigs with family and friends. The sound is excellent at a more than sufficient volume to be accompanied by a cajon or a smaller set of drums/percussion. You have delay, reverb, and chorus available, effects that will definitely enrich your sound. At the microphone input (since you have two at hand, instrument and microphone) you also have a harmony effect, meaning a harmony effect, either in low, unison, or high, to make any voice sound fuller. If you're alone and feel like jamming, you also have a looper available, which you can record for about 40 seconds, plus unlimited overdubs. By the way, the looper pedal is included and it's dual. It can also be used to start/stop the harmony effect, for example.
At the back of the combo, you have various inputs and outputs to record directly or to amplify to a larger PA, auxiliary input in case you want to sing over recordings, etc. Plus, the small combo is extremely portable and easy to handle, takes up very little space, and all this at a reasonable price.
In conclusion, the small Boss ACS is a very versatile tool, with quality sound, easily transportable, that can offer you very cool musical moments, whether with friends or alone, wherever you are. Rock on.
