The TCO Module is an optional module for a select range of RME audio cards. Placed in a free slot in the computer case, it connects to the main audio card via a flat ribbon cable.
The module provides HDSPe cards with a WorldClock input that offers synchronization to LTC and video. A single module can be used with multiple cards simultaneously. LTC can be generated in all common formats: 24, 25, 30, and 29.97 frames, dropframe or non-dropframe. PAL and NTSC will be automatically detected and processed.
The received Time Code can be distributed to video or audio applications as ASIO Positioning Protocol (APP) or MTC. An application can send APP or MTC to the TCO, which will generate LTC at the hardware level with the least jitter.
