Steinberg UR-RT2 - USB 2.0 audio interface with Rupert Neve Designs transformers. It offers conversion up to 192 kHz / 24-bit. The preamps are designed by Yamaha, providing transparent and detailed sound capture. Additionally, the transformers from Rupert Neve Designs feature switchable harmonic distortion. These transformers are beneficial for vocals, acoustic guitars, or any other instrument with a significant dynamic range.

On the front panel, you will find 2 combo XLR-1/4" jack connectors that can be switched between microphone and Hi-Z input. Alongside these inputs are the gain potentiometers and transformer switches, 1 headphone connector, a volume knob for headphones, and a main output knob. On the back of the device, there are MIDI input/output, two line inputs, two main outputs, a USB socket, and a phantom power +48V switch for powering condenser microphones.

An SSP2 DSP chip is at hand to help you achieve zero-latency FX monitoring with numerous DAWs and platforms, making this device suitable for laptops, tablets, and desktop computers.

24 bit / 192kHz via USB 2.0

The converters used in the UR-RT2 provide a maximum sampling rate of 192 kHz and a resolution of 24 bits.

Class-A D-PRE microphone preamps

The UR-RT4 interfaces are equipped with Yamaha's D-PRE preamps. They offer transparent and detailed sound.

RND transformers

The Rupert Neve Designs transformers add natural distortion to the signal to achieve a sound with more depth and perspective. Input channels 1-2 on the UR-RT4 each have a Rupert Neve Designs transformer specially developed for audio interfaces.

Zero-latency monitoring with FX

Thanks to the built-in SSP2 DSP software and included dspMixFx software, the UR-RT4 offers zero-latency monitoring with FX on Windows, MacOS, and iOS and with every DAW.

Cross-Platform Compatibility

The UR-RT4 offers cross-platform compatibility for Windows, MacOS, and iOS with the included Cubase AI and Cubasis LE music software.

Loopback Function

The loopback function combines input signals with playback signal and provides an easy way to stream live performances online.

An excellent product!

I compared it with the RME digi 96/8 Pad, which I used for years, and I decided this one performs better. The power supply it comes with is switched. Replacing it with a linear 12V power supply significantly improves sound quality.

An excellent product!
