Eve Audio SC2070, a compact audio monitor with a 2-way architecture and an extra-large AMT ribbon tweeter that sets new standards for high and mid-frequency reproduction, and in combination with the 6.5" woofer ensures powerful sound and superior precision across the entire frequency range.
SC2070 features a newly developed Air Motion Transformer RS7 ribbon driver, which is the largest AMT used in a 2-way monitor. This driver offers exceptional detail resolution at high frequencies, making this monitor a perfect tool for medium-sized studios and home studios where quality is paramount.
SC2070 combines the outstanding technologies of the SC3070 and SC4070 (winner of the TEC award) into a compact 2-way system. The new Air Motion Transformer RS7 represents a new level of innovation. RS7 has been specially developed for SC2070 to achieve a crossover frequency of 1800 Hz, which is remarkably low for a 2-way monitor. The diaphragm area is 1.5 times larger than that of the tweeter membrane used in SC207 (RS2).
An optimised enclosure with reduced resonance, featuring a reinforced front baffle, houses the Air Motion Transformer RS7 and a 6.5-inch SilverCone woofer, as well as the amplification unit with a total output power of 250 W. Intelligent protection mechanisms prevent driver overload.
All necessary adjustments can be made via the SMART button, which is specific to all EVE Audio studio monitors. This allows you to make a variety of optimisations to calibrate and adapt the monitor to the specific acoustics of the room.
All EVE Audio monitors feature high-resolution DSP electronics. A high-quality BurrBrown analog-to-digital converter (24-bit/192 kHz) converts the analog input signal provided via RCA or XLR. The DSP offers latency-free filtering while simultaneously protecting the tweeter and woofers against overload across the entire frequency range. When powered on, the monitor's volume gradually increases to allow sufficient time to reduce the source volume if the input signal is too strong.
