Yamaha SV-255

Yamaha SV-255 - 4/4 size electric violin with 5 strings, featuring a classic oval profile neck that provides natural comfort. It has a solid spruce top, a maple body with a semi-hollow resonance design, an ebony fingerboard and tuning pegs, and a dual pickup (in the bridge and fingerboard), with a blend control for combining the signals from the two pickups.

It includes a built-in preamplifier, headphone amplifier, and controls for volume, treble, and bass. It offers output with a 6.3 mm jack connector and balanced XLR, and a -26 dB signal reduction for devices with sensitive input impedance, along with a ground lift switch. It has a weight similar to an acoustic violin, approximately 500 g.

It is powered by two AA 1.5V batteries or an AC adapter (PA-3C) which is not included, or Phantom power 28-48V.
