Focal Shape 65 - active 2-way studio monitor, nearfield type, ideal for use in home studios, project studios, or mobile setups. The closed MDF cabinet is equipped with a 6.5" flax sandwich cone woofer and an inverted dome tweeter made of aluminium/magnesium alloy, which together provide a frequency response from 40 Hz to 35 kHz, with a maximum SPL of 109 dB, while two 6.5" passive radiators extend the low frequencies and minimize distortion. The mid/low frequency driver is powered by an 80W Class-AB amplifier, while the high-frequency driver uses a 25W Class-AB amplifier. The closed cabinet design allows the monitor to be placed close to a wall without adverse effects.
The monitor features XLR and RCA input connectors, facilitating connection to a variety of audio systems and devices. It also offers a range of controls, including an adjustable crossover at 160 Hz, as well as shelf controls for high and low frequencies, plus a high-pass filter, allowing you to customize the acoustic response of the speaker to fit the surrounding environment. It can be mounted on the ceiling or wall using an optional mounting accessory kit and comes with a standard IEC power cable.
