The 80/20 Bronze alloy, also known as brass, is the original alloy chosen by John D'Addario Sr. and John D'Angelico in the 1930s. The 80/20 Bronze strings are very popular due to their clear sound, deep and excellent projection. All acoustic strings with D'addario wrap have a hexagonal core of steel that provides increased strength and excellent intonation.
