With a stable output of 250 mA on each of the five barrel connectors with negative polarity in the centre, the compact Palmer PWT 05 MKII is suitable for almost any size pedalboard. To provide clean DC power to the pedals and eliminate ground loops between them (and the associated noise), the outputs are individually isolated.
PWT 05 MKII is protected against overload and comes with connection cables of 25 and 50 cm, as well as two Y-cables. The first, with a black connector, combines two 9 V outputs to increase the available current up to 500 mA, while the second, with a white connector, combines two 9 V outputs to double the voltage to 18 V. A 1-to-5 daisy chain cable is also included, allowing five pedals to be powered from a single output, provided the total consumption does not exceed 250 mA. The robust housing of the Palmer PWT 05 MKII offers mounting options and cable management, and the IEC power input and voltage selector allow for worldwide use.
The Palmer PWT-05 Mk2 power supply is a quality product, featuring a classic transformer (extremely reliable against power surges) with 5 independent AC output voltages. These are then converted to 9 Volts DC, being stabilized and perfectly isolated, with no hum across the entire pedal setup. The power supply can also be used to power 6 pedals, as the one for the tuner has a line output that sends the 9 Volts to another pedal, practically having no hum at all. It is one of the most durable dedicated power supplies still being produced today. The package also includes a power cable (230 V AC) and 13 cables for powering pedals (10 double cables of various lengths for 9V; one for double voltage of 18 V, another for double current of 500 mA, and a spare splitter with multiple outputs connected in parallel, in case of emergencies when more than 6 pedals need to be powered).
