AKG C519M is a clip-on microphone specially designed for brass instruments, as well as drums, percussion, and piano with a 3-pin male XLR connection.
The AKG C519M attaches to the bell of a trumpet, saxophone, trombone, tuba or any other wind instrument (e.g. didgeridoo). The microphone has a cardioid polar pattern, allowing the C 519 to be used fairly close to stage monitors, while the linear frequency response provides a clean, natural, and powerful sound.
C 519 M is a condenser microphone, which therefore requires power. It can be powered externally with 9-52V universal Phantom Power. This version also includes a switchable low-cut filter (-4 dB at 100 Hz) on the XLR connector.
