Genelec 8050 BPM

Genelec 8050B is a powerful wide-range studio monitor capable of producing peak SPL (sound pressure level), with a low-frequency response extending down to 38Hz. The 8050B is ideal for large recording studios, mastering, broadcast and surround installations, post-production companies, and television.

The active crossover features versatile controls to adapt the monitor to challenging acoustic environments. The MDE™ (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure™) housing and a long, curved reflex port, combined with minimal distortion drivers, provide clear and solid low frequencies with minimal compression, distortion, and port noise.

The placement of the 8050B is easy, using the included Iso-Pod™ (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler™) mechanism, which eliminates sound coloration by decoupling the monitor from the surface it rests on. The monitor can be tilted on the Iso-Pod™ to orient its acoustic axis directly towards the listening position. Other mounting options are available using the integrated mounting point on the back of the unit or the M10 nut at its base.

The Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) technology automatically reduces power consumption to less than 0.5W, putting the monitor into standby mode when no audio signal has been detected for an extended period.
