Korg Prologue 16 - polyphonic analog synthesizer, featuring 16-note polyphony, a 61-key keyboard, based on the success of the Minilogue and Monologue synthesizers, and combining multi-voice, multi-timbre, and Multi-Engine technology to create a professional-quality instrument capable of meeting the needs of the most advanced user, yet with a friendly and easy-to-use interface.
The synthesizer architecture uses two VCOs + Multi-Engine (VCO3), a 12 dB/octave filter, two envelopes, a VCA, and an LFO filter. The Multi-engine is equipped with three sound generation devices, including a noise generator, a variable phase modulation (VPM/FM) generator, and a user oscillator, which allows you to load your own oscillator programs through a free system. The two-pole low-pass filter with enhanced clarity adds strong distortion, as well as a low-cut (high-pass) switch. Its sound covers almost every sonic possibility: basses, powerful leads, and lush pads that you would expect from a polyphonic synthesizer.
Additional features include four voice modes, a powerful arpeggiator, and a 24-bit digital effects engine that offers two effect slots (modulation effect and delay/reverb). Choose from a wide range of effects such as chorus or ensemble, warm tape delay, or various types of reverb. The keyboard is a high-quality, natural touch type made in Japan. The instrument's casing is constructed from a black aluminium front panel, with oak wood sides, and high-quality metal knobs. It comes with a power cable with an IEC connector.

Multi-Engine:
The Multi-engine is provided as VCO3, adding digital waveforms and FM through three different sound engines, which can be combined with analog VCOs to extend the sonic potential of the Prologue far beyond that of a traditional analog synthesizer.
Noise Generator: Four types of noise generators create percussive sounds or sound effects. Experience how digital filtering can produce direct changes in the colour of the noise.
VPM Oscillator: The VPM (Variable Phase Modulation) / FM oscillator provides a metallic and sharp sound with complex tones that can never be achieved through analog means. With 16 types of oscillators and the Shape knob, you will be intuitively guided through the complex sound design.
User Oscillator: Load your own custom oscillator programs. 16 slots are provided, and a single morphing wavetable oscillator type is built in as a preset.
Voice Modes:
Offers 4 voice modes:
Poly: Functions as a polyphonic synthesizer with up to 16 voices. Rotate the voice mode knob to switch to Duo mode, where the instrument functions in unison as a polyphonic synthesizer with up to 8 voices
Mono: Functions as a mono synthesizer with sub-oscillator
Unison: Functions as an all-unison mono synth
Chord: plays chords
Effects:
Digital Effects: High-quality digital effects have 24-bit floating-point processing. With two effect units provided (one modulation effect and delay/reverb), you can choose from a wide variety, such as chorus or ensemble, warm tape delay, or various types of reverb. User effect slots allow you to load your own custom effect programs.
Analog Comp/Booster: The VU meter indicates the master Low Frequency Compressor (L.F. Comp.) It is a low-frequency booster/compressor that uses an analog circuit, providing solid presence that cannot be achieved from a simple EQ. You will particularly notice the difference in stage performances, at high volume where maximum dynamics can be utilised.
Program Sort:
The program sort function allows you to instantly modify the sort order of the 500 programs.
It offers eight methods for sorting programs:
Prog Num: Sort by program number
Category: Sort by program category
Alphabetical: Sort programs in alphabetical order
Like: Sort by programs you “like”
Frequent: Sort by program usage frequency
Envelope: Sort by envelope shapes
Random: Sort randomly
Live Set: sorts programs recorded in a live set
Bi-Timbral:
A two-timbral synthesizer that allows you to play two different programs simultaneously. In addition to layer and split, you can use Crossfade to smoothly transition between main timbres and sub-timbres.
Arpeggiator:
The powerful arpeggiator opens a world of unlimited inspiration. It offers a range of four octaves and six types of arpeggiator. From phrases that could not be realised on a keyboard to sequence-like sound patterns, the arpeggiator can play a variety of roles.
Types:
Manual

User Customization:
Open source means that development is ongoing. It offers 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effect slots.
