Rohema Rakatak Brown

When it comes to handling, the Rakatak is very similar to the Maracas. You grab the handle and make rattle-like movements forwards and backwards. However, the Rakatak does not have a filling, but a hollow and upwardly open resonating body with a pierced mallet. With movement, this mallet strikes both sides of the sounding body and produces a tone. So instead of a splashing sound, one can work with one tone per motion. This enables children to produce sounds in a precise and accentuated way and allows them to be creative in their musical expression. We manufacture our Rakataks from beech wood from local forests. The brown varnish of the beater's balls is of course certified and saliva- and sweat-proof. The Rakatak is therefore suitable even for small children. The brown version produces a very dark tone.
