The Tone Block is a type of tubular drum. You hold it by the handle in your hand and beat it with an accompanying mallet on the hollow tubular body. This produces a tone that can be varied slightly depending on the intensity and speed of the hitting. Tone Blocks are recommended for children from the age of three. Especially for these kids, the tubular drums stimulate their coordination. The striking of the mallet on the center of the sound body, on which you get the best tone, requires the targeted coordination of the two hemispheres of the brain.
