In a high gain setup, this pedal does wonders, especially if used correctly. I personally use it in front of an EVH 5150 III 50W head, and in the pedal loop, I have a Digitech Bad Monkey (my favorite OD). In the amp's FX Loop, I have a Boss GE7. Under these conditions, the Boss NS2 beautifully "cleans" the sound of both pedals and the amplifier even with the gain very high, and it doesn't cut any dynamics. This is one of the pedals I've tried to replace on my pedalboard, but it has returned there multiple times, alongside the GE7. I highly recommend the BOSS NS2.
