I had high expectations for this microphone stand based on the manufacturer's presentation (which is quite seductive).
When I unpacked the product, I was left with a bitter taste. The first impression was that I received a refurbished product that had been stored in a basement for 2 years. The metal arm is painted as if someone did it with a spray can behind the block, and the paint applied on the dirty surface, with dust, creates some bumps after drying that force you to keep touching it to wipe away a roughness that shouldn't exist.
A few centimeters away, there's a dent in the metal of the arm, as if it was taken from the paint line and thrown 10 meters away onto the assembly table.
The rubberized plastic wheels (which firmly secure the arm's position when tightened) are molded without any sanding/finishing.
The rivets in the arm's mechanics are painted with a paint that looks like rust (it has some lighter spots); probably the paint has inclusions/granules or the same surface was painted twice. Anyway, the result is very suspicious.
The Gravity emblem/logo has a scratch, as if that area was hit, but looking closely, I think it was marked in a hurry just like all the others, without any attention.
I give 4 stars (which is significantly above its merit) because the design is superb, and the modern concept is generated by a stylist with high-class vision. However, the construction and finishes are of poor quality.
In short, the production factory has made a mockery of an exceptional design.
