Hokema Twin Kalimba – double kalimba made of American cherry wood, with a length of 30 cm, featuring two sets of identically tuned tines placed on opposite sides of the instrument. This unique construction allows for both individual and duo performances.
The identical tuning of both sides produces a rich sound full of harmonics and resonance, as each plucked tine causes its counterpart on the opposite side to vibrate. More advanced musicians can explore a variety of scales by retuning certain tines, thus opening up new creative possibilities.
