The Transition Neck & Bridge Model pickups were designed for Steve Lukather's new LIII™ Music Man guitar and Luke. The pickups are named after Steve's new album, Transition (release date January 21, 2013). Lukather played the LIII™ guitar with Transition™ pickups throughout the new album. The passive Transition™ humbuckers are both subtle and aggressive. They have power and depth. Steve says they are organic and allow him to maintain his sound. “These days I like it simple and direct,” he says. Steve mentions that he started from the ground up sonically and that nowadays he enjoys a more organic sound, but the Transition™ Bridge Model has a hard-hitting, in-your-face sound that is also perfect for shredding and technical playing.
