Göldo CTS Pot 250 - logarithmic potentiometer of 250 kOhms for electric guitars with pickguard (Fender Stratocaster) or arched top / jazz electro-acoustic guitars. Short thread. Thread dimensions 9 x 10 mmØ, housing dimensions 24 mmØ. Shaft made of metal.
The product page does not specify all the dimensions. I measured the top of the shaft at 6 mm thickness and the bottom (the solid part) at 6.4 mm. I couldn't find caps that fit. In the end, I used caps for a solid shaft of 6.4mm with an adapter for a 6mm shaft (handmade from an aluminum soda can) - it doesn't sit very centered, but it's better than without the adapter. The shaft has a bit of play in the potentiometer body, which is a bit unpleasant to touch.
I bought two 250k potentiometers to redo the electrical part of a relatively cheap bass (split coil P configuration).
The result is spectacular, now having complete control over volume and tone in all adjustment positions. The old volume potentiometer worked more like an on/off button. Plus, they are very quiet.
The construction is solid, the shaft feels firm and precise when turning. They didn't suffer from prolonged heat during soldering.
I recommend them as an essential upgrade for instruments in the 'budget' category, bringing the quality of the electrical part to a level comparable to that of professional instruments.
