Korg Volca Kick - an analogue synthesizer that generates dynamic and powerful sounds of bass drum or kick. It features an analogue circuit based on the strong resonant sound of the MS-20 filter, allowing the creation of a wide range of kick sounds possible only through analogue circuits. It also includes a 16-step sequencer, which now has the Touch FX feature that allows you to instantly control an effect, thus ensuring enhanced live potential. For sound generation, it does not use a typical sine wave, but the oscillating filter sound of the original MS-20. The powerful Rev.1 filter self-oscillates when the resonance is turned up to maximum. Start your sound design by using the MS-20 RESONATOR (PITCH/BEND/TIME) to control the pitch direction that generates the sound's "body resonance", then use PULSE COLOUR/LEVEL to adjust the clip components to control the attack direction, and then AMP ATTACK/DECAY to control the sound's decay. This way, you can create tones that can be used in any musical genre or project. Additionally, it features an analogue drive that includes multiple levels of distortion. The distortion level can be controlled using a single potentiometer. Besides being a kick drum machine, by using the 16-key touch-panel keyboard, melodic and dynamic bass lines can be performed. Due to the wide pitch range, from mid frequencies to low frequencies, a large variety of sounds from toms and effects are included. The 16-step sequencer allows for the creation of drum patterns and supports real-time recording, which is ideal for creating large kick drum musical phrases. The pattern chain function allows the connection of multiple rhythm patterns to be played successively, thus providing the possibility to generate rhythmic phrases of 32, 64, or even 256 steps. In addition to all this, it allows the storage of 16-step patterns in internal memory, offers a sync connector for interconnection with other synths and groove machines, and a MIDI IN input allows the Volca Kick to be used as a sound module for a DAW or MIDI controller.
