Yamaha BB734 ATMBL - active electric bass guitar with 4 strings, featuring a laminated body construction made of layers of Alder/Maple/Alder wood, a 6-bolt neck joint, and a Vintage Plus Bridge with diagonal string mounting.
Regarding the body construction, the maple core strengthens the body and enhances the mid frequencies of the sound, while providing increased vibration transfer between the body and neck.
Equipped with YGD Custom V7 (AlnicoV) active pickups, it benefits from a 3-band EQ, pickup balance control, and an active/passive selector.
The Vintage Plus bridge design allows for “Diagonal Body Thru Stringing”, enabling the strings to pass through the body to the bridge at a 45º angle, while also allowing for traditional mounting, and is equipped with saddles that can be adjusted for both configurations. The saddles are made of brass, and the bridge plate is made of steel, with the springs and screws made of stainless steel.
The neck of the bass is made from 5 layers of Maple and Mahogany, with a much thinner profile than the previous series, providing excellent tone and stability against warping or twisting. Additionally, the tuning keys have a reduced weight, which offers a better balance for the entire instrument.
